Frontières au TIFF: Le marché

Co-présenté par le Festival international du film Fantasia et TIFF: Le marché, ce nouvel événement Frontières est une présentation de cinq projets de genre ouvert à tout stade de financement, de production ou de post-production, qui vise à faciliter les contacts entre les équipes des projets et les professionnels du secteur tels que les agents de ventes, les distributeurs et les programmateurs de festivals.

Des événements de réseautage exclusifs adaptés à la communauté du genre viendront compléter le programme, offrant des opportunités uniques d'affaires et de collaboration dans un cadre ciblé et dynamique.

L'appel à projets pour l'édition 2025 de la Frontières au TIFF: Le marché se clôturera le 10 juillet 2026 (17h HNE).

FRONTIÈRES AT TIFF: THE MARKET

SELECTION REQUIREMENTS

• Projects must qualify as feature length;
• Projects must qualify as "Genre" in nature: horror, sci-fi, fantasy, action, dark thriller;
• Projects must be seeking sales agents or buyers
• Submissions can originate from any territory; priority will be given to submissions from North America and Europe.

SUPPORTING DOCUMENTS REQUIRED

• For projects in post-production: video URL link of your work-in-progress (max. 15 mins - preferably 3-4 clips)
• For projects in production (early or advanced): full script
• Long version of your synopsis (maximum 2 pages)
• Look book or Pitch Deck
• Current partners' letters of intent or documented proof of collaboration
• Team CVs

Your documents can be submitted in French or English.

Travel and accommodation costs are the responsibility of the participants.

Scholarships may be available through your national film fund. These scholarships may cover both the participation fee and the additional costs. Please contact your national film fund for more information.

In return for your participation in the Frontières and should your film be completed, in addition to the inclusion of the Frontières logo in the end credits of the film, you acknowledge that the North American Premiere should take place at the Fantasia International Film Festival, host of the market. This request will be waived should the film be selected at any of the following film festivals: South by Southwest (SXSW), Sundance, Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF), Tribeca or Telluride. In the event of the film screening at any of the aforementioned US festivals, Fantasia will retain first right of refusal for the film’s Canadian Premiere in the same year.
